5/21/2023 0 Comments Secret folder macWell, except that it also deleted the folder of my 124GB of previous desktop files. It asked if I wanted to delete the synced files and me being an ordinary human assumed that meant the files it had just been syncing from iCloud. It starting filling up my desktop with thousands of files and was going to fill up more than all the memory on my computer, so I clicked to tell it to stop. Well, unless you have up to 2 TB of files already up there, then it doesn't just sync files up to iCloud Drive it syncs all your desktop files from your other computers and from iCloud down to that computer. I thought sure, that's a great security measure. It then asked if I wanted to sync my files to iCloud. It is really dumb that it moves all of your files from the desktop into a folder. Monterey moves all your desktop files to a folder - Don't try stopping the icloud drive syncing Just upgraded an older laptop to OS Monterey yesterday. How to solve this issue so that space taken on disk is equal to the size of the local file/ folder? Otherwise, my available disk space is effectively becoming half! I have checked it for another folder, and the result is the same. So it is taking up twice as much space on the disk. Is OneDrive keeping duplicate copies of the same folder in both Workspace and Macintosh volumes? Or is this how the used space is calculated, considering the local OneDrive files/folders to be tagged with both volumes? But the surprising thing is that the available space in the container (shared between the volumes) is decreased by 2.9 GB. Now, after this, the Workspace volume shows an increase of 1.45 GB in used space, and the Macintosh volume too shows an increase of 1.45 GB in used space. I opted to keep a folder available on the device. I tried to check this and observed something very surprising. ![]() Now when I opt for the "Always keep on This Device" option for a file or folder in my OneDrive, where (the original version) will it get stored? In the "Workspace" volume or in the Macintosh HD volume? When I searched for the original folder, it was found in the "users" directory in the Macintosh HD volume. Now the OneDrive folder in the "Workspace" volume shows a sign indicating it is an alias. I have created a volume "Workspace" for keeping my work-related files and chose that "Workspace" volume for my OneDrive folder. ![]() ![]() This issue concerns OneDrive on an M1 Pro Macbook Pro running on Mac OS Monterey. 5/21/2023 0 Comments Xevious nes box![]() These areas are separated by a dense dark green forest, in a total of 16. After the 16th area the game gets back to the 7th (the one with the rotating ground turrets in the beginning) and loops forever in this fashion, with no special ending screen whatsoever. In fact, if you're not paying attention you won't even notice you've looped the game. It's also important to mention that all areas overlap vertically in a single giant map (that can be seen here). ![]() Xevious is heralded as an absolute classic, in the sense that it started the vertical scrolling shooter genre. It was the first of its kind, and it boasted great new features at the time of its release. Besides being able to fire a main shot, the player can also hit ground targets with bombs that can be aimed with the aid of a crosshair. Ground targets can be flown over with no harm, and most airborne enemies will leave the screen if you don't kill them. As you fly over forests, lagoons and enemy bases, all you can count on are the same basic weaponry, for Xevious has absolutely no power-ups! The only icons you're bound to collect are the hidden flags that can be uncovered with your bombs and are worth 1.000 points and an extra life. I read that these secrets supposedly extend to hidden towers, but I could never find any of these while playing the NES game. There are 4 huge boss bases (the Andor Genesis) spread out in the first loop - they cause the scrolling to stop for a while, giving you the chance to bomb them amidst relentless incoming fire. There's no denying that this game hasn't aged well at all. It certainly delivers in the basic aspects of a decent shmup: smooth scrolling, well implemented collision detection and fierce difficulty. However, Xevious falls short in all the other aspects that make a shooter great. It's clear from screenshots, for instance, that the graphics appear to have only 3 colors: green, orange and blue. 5/21/2023 0 Comments Win x moto g![]() It has the smallest screen at 6.5 inches and a paltry 32 gigabytes of storage.Īll of these phones get great battery life. You get OK performance here with the Snapdragon 460 and 3 GB RAM, but the 5,000-mAh battery gives it a similar three-day runtime as the Moto G Power. Moto G Play ($170) : The cheapest Moto is also the slowest.Storage is bumped down to 64 gigs, so you may end up needing to buy a MicroSD card at some point. The best part is the 5,000-mAh battery, which makes this phone last up to almost three full days. You get decent performance with the Snapdragon 662 chip powering it (and 4 GB RAM), and the 6.6-inch screen isn't as unwieldy to hold. ★ Best-Moto G Power ($250) : This is the Moto phone we recommend you buy, as it strikes a nice balance with its price. It comes with 128 GB of storage, which should be plenty. I don't find it all that useful-your palm needs to be raised and off the glass when jotting down notes, and that's just not comfortable. As the name suggests, it has a built-in stylus. It sometimes stutters, but it's never frustratingly slow. Moto G Stylus ($300) : This is the largest of the lot with a 6.8-inch LCD screen, but it's also the most powerful thanks to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 678 processor and 4 gigabytes of RAM inside.None of them have near-field communication (NFC) sensors, meaning you can't pay with your phone-a shame, since it's available on several competitors in this price bucket. And they all have MicroSD card slots to expand storage, headphone jacks if you want to plug in, and plastic shells, making them more durable than pricier all-glass phones. We tried out all three Moto Gs, and here's a brief overview of all three phones.Īll of them come unlocked and ready to work on all three major US wireless networks. 5/21/2023 0 Comments Grid legends actors![]() ![]() Unfortunately the story mode as a whole pretty much goes all in on that to offset the forgettable gameplay, and because of all its major problems it ends up being more detrimental than helpful even to people like me who want more story and less racing. In fact, there are small moments that really do pull that off if you're the kind of person who has no qualms with changing a story inside your head. I've mostly lost interest in racing games - I dropped F1 2021 almost immediately after finishing the story mode, I hated FH5 with a passion and dislike cars too much to have any interest in games like GT7, so something that brings back my old GRID memories would be great on paper and instantly be better than those games for me personally. The story is really the thing I'm saddest about. 7/10 in an era where 7 usually means "don't buy this unless it goes on a deep discount" perfectly describes this game. ![]() While racing is the fundamental part of the game, the story incorporates real-life cutscenes featuring various actors. It still has something to offer, mainly the nostalgia factor because the story mode is genuinely good if you can get into it, but the game is barely worth a quarter of the price. GRID Legends has a unique, documentary-style story mode called Driven to Glory. The same goes for the career mode being all breadth and zero depth, the handling being a right mess in more ways than one can imagine, the AI being painfully reliant on gamebreaking mechanics like slipstreaming to be in any way competitive and the innumerable weird bugs and other signs that they did very little testing for this game. The story being either boring or rage-inducing depending on how much you care about it is still factual. 50 hours in, done with the story and even the regular career mode so I'm pretty much ready to drop the game. |
